Module/Solution Overview
The Intervention Delivery Module for the City4Age project is a cloud-based solution that enables any entity among the City4Age consortium to send intervention messages to the end users among multiple communication channels (push notifications, SMS, email WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Telegram).
Innovation
The delivery system integrates a secure web API exposing all the services required for:
- Sending real time interventions.
- Scheduling interventions. Editing scheduled interventions.
- Deleting interventions.
- Viewing a log of interventions with different filtering criteria.
Business Impact
Health professionals may enhance the communication with their clients implementing the Intervention Delivery Module into their working process. This will improve health care patient perceptions and give new tools for achieving data of self-assessment patient health.
Interoperability
This module is a standalone development deployed in a private dedicated machine; hence making the maintainability and extensibility of it much easier and also maximizing the bandwidth and resources of the dedicated server. This delivery system offers a simple but powerful API any partner of the C4A project can use in order to quickly and easily integrate their own developments without concerning about developing or knowing the insights of what it provides.
Stakeholders profile
Intervention Delivery Module can be incorporated into health related applications and/or systems enhancing the communication between the practitioners and their clients. This will directly influence doctor-patients communication and improve own health perceptions and follow-up. Therefore it can be exploited by companies that are developing such applications as add-on of the provided services.
Competitors
Such communication modules exist in many applications nevertheless the combination of the intervention delivery module with the intervention platform deployed already in five cities it gives an advantage of the developed solution. The combination of these communication platform, with the aggregated data of the intervention platform, is a competitive advantage on the current solutions, because it gives a real-time follow up of the current status of patients, providing more focused interventions.
Future availability
The system will be extended to continue working on this research area, by supporting new delivery channels and operating modes.
