Module/Solution Overview
YourData App is designed to provide the user with a graphical representation of this information, with reference to a specific elder and a certain time lapse. The resulting bar chart acts as a quick and easy-to-interpret visual tool which can be used by the elder along with the elder’s family, and both doctors and social operators who may be interested in the elder’s health condition and behaviour.
Innovation
The City4Age YourData App incorporates the need to have a visual tool for showing and interpreting data of the different pilots. So it is know available in Italian, English and Spanish language.
It is developed using the most innovative development technologies for Web application (Angular 5 framework) and it is designed to be used also on mobile devices. It’s not necessary to have specific technology skills in order to use the caregiver app.
Business Impact
Elder along with the elder’s family, and both doctors and social operators that are keeping people’s activities monitoring data can easily use the YourData app.
After a simple authentication procedure the user is guided to choose among different Activities; each activity contains a subset of related Measures (such as the time spent in a certain room, or the time spent outdoor) that are retrieved and presented to the user. The selection of a Measure, led the user to a dashboard view with data shown in the form of a bar chart (Figure 1).

Interoperability
As shown in Figure 2, its Web and mobile client lays on a REST API Middleware that retrieves aggregated data, called Measures, from a Local Repository along with user information provided by PoliMi.
The app integrates chart libraries in order to provide a clear visual representation of the dataset, configurable by day, week and month.
The REST API Middleware implements Web services in order to retrieve user data and Measures specific for the elder and the selected period of time (day, week and month).
Finally the Local Repository is a NoSQL database that stores data in flexible, JSON-like documents.
In order to use the app with other pilot participants, it is sufficient to develop some Web services based on the repositories used by the pilots themselves.

Stakeholders profile
YourData App offers its functionalities to three different kinds of users:
- The care receiver: also known as the elder;
- Care receiver’s family;
- The caregiver: which can be a doctor or a social operator.
Competitors
There are no many competitors that exploit the Web technology in order to get data for geriatric analysis purposes.
Future availability
The YourData app is developed using open source frameworks and platforms. Its code is also open. It can be obtained and modified to improve it, or it can be adapted to a new project scenario.

UNISALENTO
In the City4Age Project, the University of Salento in Lecce is represented by the Department of Innovation Engineering (DII – Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’Innovazione). The Department focuses on new technologies and it is devoted to promote technological innovation. Its main fields of interest are Renewable Energies, Materials Science and Technology, ICT and diagnostics for Cultural Heritage, Bio-applications of materials and ICT, Nanotechnologies, manufacturing technologies, Robotics, design and testing in Mechanical and Civil Engineering. Research activities are supported by European Union (in the FP5, FP6 and FP7 programs).
